As Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources, Lewin is responsible for operations and strategic direction for human resources services at the System and all entities: UNT System Administration, UNT, UNT Health Science Center, UNT Dallas and UNT Dallas College of Law.
He provides direction, supervision and strategic planning in all human resources areas, including benefits, compensation, employment, employee relations, technology, records management, recruitment, training and leadership development. He directs Human Resources Information Services, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards (Benefits, Compensation) and campus-located Human Resources services.
Lewin has extensive experience in academic and private sector areas. He previously was vice president of Human Resources at Purdue University and chief human resources officer at Ohio University. He was chair of Ohio’s Human Resources Inter-University Council, which represented 14 universities. He also was senior vice president of corporate human resources for the Chicago-based Tribune Co. media, entertainment, newspaper and broadcast properties.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, psychology and Spanish from Wilmington College and a master’s degree in modern languages from Ohio University.
