RAMA DHUWARAHA TO DEPART UNT SYSTEM FOR NEW OPPORTUNITY; CHARLOTTE RUSSELL NAMED INTERIM CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

April 3, 2019 – University of North Texas System Chancellor Lesa Roe today announced the upcoming departure of Chief Information Officer Rama Dhuwaraha to pursue a new opportunity as CEO of a Dallas-Fort Worth area company, effective May 3, 2019. Charlotte Russell, Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Director of Management & Risk Services, will assume the role of Interim Chief Information Officer for the UNT System on May 6. Chancellor Roe will begin a national search for a full-time Chief Information Officer immediately. 

“We have made great strides in information technology under Rama’s leadership and deeply appreciate his service to the UNT System, as well as to our institutions,” Chancellor Roe said. “We wish Rama nothing but the best as he takes on a new and exciting career challenge. Charlotte Russell has been with us for 25 years and is a trusted leader in the UNT System’s IT Shared Services organization. We are confident in her abilities to lead ITSS while we conduct a national search.”
