As the Interim Vice Chancellor for Strategic Infrastructure, Cassandra Nash helps to lead a staff of experienced architects, planners, interior designers, and other construction and administrative professionals who provide planning, design, and construction management leadership for major renovation and construction projects across UNT System.
She serves as a backup to the Vice Chancellor in leading UNT System’s facilities, real estate, campus master planning, design and construction, fire marshal, and construction contracting efforts. Cassandra is also charged with developing specific execution plans to expedite campus development in accordance with current master plans and emerging campus opportunities and needs.
Cassandra earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University and a Masters of Architectural Urban Planning from the University of Oklahoma. She began her service with the UNT System in 2009 as a Senior Project Manager in the Office of Facilities Planning and Construction, advancing to the Director for System Architecture in October 2013 and the Associate Vice Chancellor in 2016. Prior to that, Cassandra worked in the private sector. She is a licensed architect in the state of Oklahoma.
