Don Sabani joined the UNT System in early 2015 as the Senior Director of Business Process Improvement and Reporting. He recently expanded his role and assumed the title of Assistant Vice Chancellor of Business Process Improvement. In this capacity, Don leads business improvement initiatives and act as a link between the improvement programs and executive leadership.  He is also responsible for promoting Six Sigma initiatives and ensuring that projects are adequately implemented through the creation of successful project teams, driving organizational change management, and ensuring that quality improvement projects are aligned with the organizations objectives and goals. Sabani is also an adjunct professor teaching graduate accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Naveen Jindal School of Management.

Sabani has more than 15 years of industry experience in manufacturing, financial services, oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals in various business and strategic capacities. He is a volunteer with the Salvation Army and Presbyterian Hospital System. Sabani earned undergraduate degrees in Finance, Accounting, and Economics from UNT.  He also holds an MS in Accounting and an MBA, both from UTD.  He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
