The key to our commitment is the Pre-Health Professions Program (PHPP). It offers the support, structure and clarity students need to pursue a healthcare
career with confidence. “Our Pre-Health Professions Program helps you define your
goals, connect the dots, and build a path that’s uniquely yours,” said Jessica Alvarez,
UNT Dallas Assistant Dean for Student Success in Health Professions. “From choosing
the right courses to preparing for exams like the MCAT or DAT, our advisors are here
to guide and support you.”

UNT Dallas students pursuing a career in the healthcare field will receive teaching and training beyond the traditional curriculum. Our Pre-Health Professions Program includes rigorous Classroom-to-Career initiatives, robust student resources, one-on-one coaching and mentoring, customized academic advising and multiple paths to medical school through a statewide network known as JAMP (Joint Admission Medical Program).
You’ll also get access to clinical shadowing, volunteer opportunities, and support
services designed specifically for pre-health students.
