Jim Gross has been a key member of the University of North Texas System since 2015.
He oversees the Consolidated Budget and the System Administration Budget Office, collaborating
closely with other Finance teams to support the UNT System’s campuses. In addition
to managing budgets, Jim sets the strategic vision for Financial System Support and
Budget Analytics, aligning financial strategy with institutional goals and leveraging
tools to meet evolving business needs.
Before joining the UNT System, Jim served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
at Sam Houston State University and led the implementation of integrated financial
systems at Texas Tech and TTUHSC. Drawing on a Master of Business Administration and
extensive financial expertise, he fosters data-driven decision-making, continuous
improvement, and long-term fiscal stability for the UNT System.
