Volunteer for Crafting Cards for Kids with the UNT Staff Senate on December 13.
Crafting Cards for Kids with the Staff Senate
Tuesday, December 13th 11:00a-1:30p
Union 332
Staff are invited to attend this come-and-go event to make cards for children who are hospitalized nationwide. A wide variety of supplies will be available for anyone feeling crafty, and pre-decorated cards will be available for those who prefer to just write messages. Cards can be winter holiday themed, or you can focus on spring holidays or general cards for their year-round distribution cycle. While supplies last, warm beverages and treats will be provided to attendees. This event is limited to professional staff only.
Asynchronous Option: Cards Crafting Kits
Departments are invited to request a card making kit from the UNT Staff Senate so your team can find their own time to create cards. Staff can then return the cards
to the Staff Senate if they wish to support our collection for the national nonprofit,
Cards for Hospitalized Kids, or they can distribute these cards to an organization or group of their choosing.
Kits can be requested for delivery or pick-up starting Monday, 12/5, and we will continue
to offer kits as long as supplies last. For any departments wanting to submit holiday
cards to the Staff Senate’s chosen organization, completed cards will need to be returned
by end of day Thursday, 12/15. Non winter-holiday specific cards can be accepted for
distribution into the spring semester. Staff are welcome to share these supplies with
their entire team.
